مقدمه: در سال‌های اخیر اختلال طیف اوتیسم به سبب شیوع بیشتر به عنوان یکی از اختلالات حائز اهمیت عصبی تحولی شناخته شده است و از این رو همواره تشخیص به‌هنگام برای مداخلات اثربخش، مورد تاکید بوده است. یکی از راه‌های تشخیص این اختلال، استفاده از ابزارهایی است که از ویژگی‌های روان‌سنجی مطلوب برخوردارند. مقیاس گارز3 یکی از پرکاربردترین ابزارها در کمک به تشخیص اختلال طیف اتیسم می‌باشد.
روش کار: پژوهش از نظر هدف کاربردی و از نظر طرح تحقیق یک پژوهش توصیفی از نوع اعتبارسنجی است. جامعه شامل تمامی افراد 3 تا 22 ساله با اختلال اتیسم است که از این میان تعداد 318 نفر با روش نمونه‌گیری هدفمند به عنوان گروه نمونه انتخاب شدند. لازم به ذکر است که این افراد علاوه بر گروه اتیسم(117 نفر)، از دانش‌آموزان به‌هنجار(52 نفر)، کم‌توان‌ذهنی(94 نفر) و ناشنوا(55 نفر) نیز انتخاب شدند.
یافته‌ها: نتایج نشان داد که نسخه فارسی مقیاس رتبه‌بندی اوتیسم گیلیام (گارز 3) میان افراد با اختلال طیف اتیسم و افراد به‌هنجار، کم‌توان‌ذهنی و ناشنوا توانایی تشخیصی و افتراقی مطلوبی دارد(0.05>p).
نتیجه‌گیری: بر اساس نتایج بدست آمده از یکی از شاخصه‌های مهم روان‌سنجی استفاده از مقیاس رتبه‌بندی اتیسم گیلیام برای غربالگری اختلال طیف اتیسم در کودکان ایرانی توصیه می‌شود و این تاکید علاوه بر برخورداری از شاخص روان‌سنجی مطلوب در جامعه ایرانی، داشتن معیارهای تشخیصی DSM-5 نیز بر اهمیت استفاده از این مقیاس می‌افزاید.
