<abstract>
Objectives: Generalized epilepsy is a chronic disorder characterized by recurrent seizure which can increase the content of reactive oxygen species and super oxide generation in the brain. The aim of the present study was to estimate not only the plasma level of MDA (as marker of oxidative stress) in patient with epilepsy , but also to compare the t level in two study group Methods and Materials: Hundred and twenty patients from those referred to neurology departments with age limitation of 20-40 years(as the case group) and three hundred thirteen normal subjects aged between 20-40 years referred to Blood Donation Organization (as the control group) were involved in the study. Plasma level of MDA of the above mentioned two study group , were determined by spectrophotometric assay. Results: The analysis of the plasma from epileptics revealed: increased MDA level in comparison of control persons and these differences were statistically significant. The mean value of MDA in case group was 1.46 nmol / ml and in control one was 1.02 nmol/ml that was statistically significant (p=0.001). Conclusion: Our results indicate on the oxidant elevation and oxidative disturbances in epileptic patients, which can play an important role in the pathophysiology of epilepsy. Suggestion: We suggest that further studies should be done on the role of oxidative stress in patients and its balance with anti-oxidant of epilepsy.

<abstract>
Background and Objective: Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) is now recognized as an agent of bacterial meningitis in Asia. Polyribosil Ribitol Phosphate (PRP) capsule are in all of the strains and IgG antibodies can be target. Due to limited studies on H. influenzae type b in the country and the lack of sufficient information on the status of carriers, achieve a comprehensive model of the spread of the bacteria in the carrier's most vulnerable children is the aim of this study. Material and Methods: In this study, 194 (49% female and 51% male) serum samples were collected from children under 6 years old referred to medical centers in Korram Abad. The serological study of H. influenzae type b was carried using anti-H. influenzae PRP IgG antibodies kit by indirect enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Results: Of 194 children under 6 years-old screened for H. influenzae-specific IgG antibodies with ELISA, 6 (3 percent) were IgG seropositive. Prevalence of bacteria in children under 2 years was 67% that demonstrated no significant association between seropositivity in subjects and place of residence of children with the prevalence of bacteria. Conclusion: The prevalence of H. influenzae type b seropositivity in our study was 3% of the total sample. In current study, a higher percentage of males than females were seropositive and frequency of predominant bacteria in patients younger than 2 years. The age factor is a variable that positively affects serum. Regarding to non-Hib vaccination in children, the presence of the bacteria in children can be important.

Background: Exam anxiety and reduce of that, is one of the problems of educational systems. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of aromatherapy on level of exam anxiety among nursing students in Alborz University of Medical Sciences. Methods: This is a triple blind clinical trial on 91 nursing students of Alborz University of Medical Sciences which have been sampled simply and randomized divided into group A and group B. Vital signs and Spielberg state–trait anxiety inventory were measured and recorded at baseline and 5 minutes after intervention and after exam .Then, the students were asked to place the bottle of aroma (lavender or sterile water) at a distance of 5 cm of nose and inhale for 10 minutes. Half of students were exposed to bottles that fulfilled by 5 drops of lavender essential oil and half of them were exposed to bottles that fulfilled by 5 drops of sterile water that labeled as A or B and was blind for subjects, researchers and analyzer. After analysis, content of each bottle was disclosed. Results: The results showed that there were meaningful difference between average exam anxiety, pulse and systolic blood pressure along the time (P=0.000, 0.023, 0.009). Conclusion: These results showed that although aromatherapy has been not meaningful statistical effective but can reduce the exam anxiety in nursing student along the time.

<abstract>
Background and Purpose: Various methods for repairing defects and injuries such as wounds and cuts on the body have long been used. Biocompatible material into the body for the purposes of applying the Chitosan and gelatin are among them. On the other hand, recently the use and application of special cells in the bone marrow stromal stem cells (BMSCs) to produce a wide variety of growth factors and tropic factors in the healing and restoration of great concern was. Methods: In this study, a thin film of polymer solution (Ch-G) of mixture casting method, cells with BMSCs were obtained. For this purpose, cells were passage BMSCs after four steps, the thin membrane (Ch-G) were cultured. Adhesion of the BMSCs cells by inverted microscopy, the purity and the stem was examined by immunocytochemistry after the sixth day. Results: Demonstrate that the proper proliferation and apoptosis of cells during this period was low on the membrane. The results showed no significant difference between the cells on thin membranes (Ch-G) compared with the control group. Conclusion: Considering that BMSCs can easily be on thin-film cells (Ch-G), growth and reproduction are good, so it can cover the cell membrane as a dressing Adhesive Bandage to repair some defects, wounds used and bone fractures.

<abstract>
Background and Purpose: Appropriate maternal care is necessary to provide Physical growth and mental development of neonate which is related to establishing a good relationship between mother and infant. Positive perception of mothers to their neonates, creates a better relationship between them. Maternal perception of neonates is based on her understanding of biological behavior of the infant. Special features of prematurity, maternal stress and anxiety due to premature delivery are effective on maternal perceptions. The purpose of this study was to determine the maternal perception of premature infants as determining it’s related factors. Methods: In a cross-sectional design, 150 mothers of preterm infants who were been admitted to Neonatal intensive care units of 2 selected hospitals of Iran University of Medical Sciences, entered the study. Broussard questionnaire were used to measure the maternal perception. Data were analyzed by using descriptive statistical analysis and Kay square and Fisher's exact tests were used for analyzing the data. Results: Most of mother’s had a negative perception of their preterm infant. Based on the results, Mather’s job, fathers’ job, mothers’ age, husband’s support, desire about the pregnancy, history of miscarriage and still birth were related with perception of mothers of preterm infants. Discussion: Negative perceptions in mothers of preterm infants are prevalent and in some groups are in higher risk. As negative perception can have a role in developmental processes and cause problems in future, preparing circumstances to decrease mothers’ stress and providing facilities and interventions to increase mother-infant communications are essential. These are treatment team’s duties. The health care team can screen susceptible cases and by supportive interventions, it is possible to create better mother-baby relationship and prepare better care to prevent future developmental problems.

<abstract>
Background: Gold (Au) Fe oxide core-shell nanostructure is a major class of nanoscale material that has attracted a considerable attention due to the biotechnological and biomedical applications and specific properties. Methods: Here we synthesized the magnetite nanoparticles (MNPs) with an average size of 10-12 nm in diameter using the chemical co-precipitation of Fe2+ and Fe3+ in strong alkaline material. Then, an Au coated Fe oxide core-shell nanocomposite with an average diameter of 18-20 nm was produced in the presence of sodium citrate as the reducing agent. The structures of Au shell and magnetic core (Au–Fe oxide) were studied by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and fourier transformed infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). Results: Results showed that the NPs were agglomerate-free and shaped regularly, with a narrow sized distribution. The Au-coated Fe oxide NPs exhibited a surface plasmon resonance peak in the range of 500-650 nm with a remarkable peak at 550 nm. Conclusions: Immobilization studies with antibody (Ab) demonstrated that the Au Fe oxide core-shell nanostructure can be used to immobilize Ab, making them valuable for biomedical and biological applications.
