Background: The employer’s brand has become increasingly important in attracting and retaining human resources, particularly in the health services sector. This research aims to develop a comprehensive model of employer branding in medical diagnosis laboratories in Alborz Province.
Methods: This study used a mixed method approach, combining qualitative and quantitative techniques. In the qualitative phase, indicators were identified through thematic analysis of previous articles and interviews with 10 subject matter experts. The data was coded using MAXQDA software to extract a qualitative model. In the quantitative phase, structural equations and confirmatory factor analysis were performed using SPSS 22 and Smart PLS software to test the model.
Results: The results revealed that six dimensions significantly contribute to the comprehensive employer branding pattern in medical diagnostic laboratories in Alborz Province: psychological, motivational, and social values; culture and work environment; economic factor; laboratory brand strength; internal consequences of employer branding; and external consequences of employer branding.
Conclusion: Based on the factor loading, the most important indicator was laboratory structure, which is a component of the culture and work environment. To enhance the performance of the laboratories, it is recommended to focus on the design of the work unit structure, flexible work division, and clear explanation of the laboratory’s specific objectives.

Introduction: In healthcare settings, the health and efficiency of employees are crucial for providing quality patient care. This study aims to investigate the impact of activity duration, sense of comfort, and thermal adaptation on cognitive performance and general fatigue among healthcare employees in Ilam.
Methods: The study involved personnel from five hospitals in Ilam city, evaluated from August to November 2023. Data was collected through questionnaires and analyzed using statistical methods.
Results: The findings indicated a neutral temperature of 19°C, which deviates from global standards ISO 7730 and ASHRAE 55. Analysis showed that work duration significantly affects both cognitive performance and general fatigue. Thermal comfort significantly impacts general fatigue but not cognitive performance. Thermal adaptation, however, significantly affects both cognitive performance and general fatigue. No significant interaction effect was found between thermal comfort and thermal adaptation on cognitive performance or general fatigue.
Conclusion: The optimal thermal comfort point for healthcare workers is 19°C. Activity duration and thermal adaptation play a key role in enhancing cognitive performance and reducing fatigue. Reducing the range of comfort and thermal adaptation can lead to increased work errors among healthcare personnel.

Introduction: Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic inflammatory disease that predominantly affects the joints and can significantly impact the quality of life of patients. Tofacitinib is recognized as a key medication in managing this condition. However, concerns about the potential side effects of this drug, especially its impact on cardiovascular health, still exist.
Methods: International databases including PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Central were searched for relevant articles. The quality of the studies was assessed using the Cochrane risk of bias assessment tool. Data were statistically analyzed using a random-effects model and the CMA software version 3.
Results: This study, based on data from five trials involving 3,111 rheumatoid arthritis patients, investigated the relationship between Tofacitinib at 5 mg and 10 mg doses and cardiovascular events. In the 5 mg Tofacitinib group, 8 out of 1,897 patients experienced cardiovascular events (odds ratio of 2.95 with a 95% confidence interval from 0.5 to 17.1). In the 10 mg Tofacitinib group, only 4 out of 1,895 patients reported these events (odds ratio of 1.83 with a 95% confidence interval ranging from 0.3 to 9.3).
Conclusion: Tofacitinib is recognized as an effective drug in controlling the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis. However, our results indicate that the use of this drug may be associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular events. Although these differences were not statistically significant, they emphasize the importance of closer monitoring of patients taking Tofacitinib. Clinical decisions should consider the risk of cardiovascular events, and conducting intervention studies with larger sample sizes and longer follow-ups is essential.

Introduction: Matrix metalloproteinase inhibitors are potent anti-cancer agents. Developing a quantitative structure-activity relationship (QSAR) model can help understand inhibitor structures and design new molecules. This study aimed to build a QSAR model for matrix metalloproteinase inhibitors.
Methods: The research used 53 matrix metalloproteinase inhibitors with their IC50 activity from literature. Molecules were drawn and energy minimized in MOE software. Molecular descriptors were calculated and used to build a QSAR model.
Results: The QSAR model revealed that Van der Waals interactions, hydrophobic areas, and H-bonds are crucial for inhibitory activity.
Conclusion: The findings can be used to design new matrix metalloproteinase inhibitors for the development of anticancer drugs.

Introduction: Sleep disturbances are common in psychiatric disorders like borderline personality disorder (BPD) and bipolar disorder (BD), potentially aiding in their clinical differentiation. This study aimed to compare sleep quality, quantity, and daytime sleepiness in individuals with these disorders.
Method: This causal-comparative study included 40 participants (20 from each group) diagnosed with BD or BPD, based on DSM-5 criteria, referred to Imam Hossein Hospital in Tehran in 2017. Data were collected using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), Epworth Sleepiness Scale (ESS), Mood Disorder Questionnaire (MDQ), Borderline Personality Inventory, and self-reported sleep duration.
Results: MANOVA analysis revealed significant differences between the groups in sleep quality, quantity, and daytime sleepiness (P < 0.05). Individuals with bipolar disorder showed more unstable sleep patterns and higher daytime sleepiness than those with borderline personality disorder.
Conclusion: These findings may improve diagnostic accuracy and inform the development of targeted therapeutic interventions based on sleep patterns.

Introduction: This research investigates the quality of control, particularly parental control, and its impact on family mental health. It seeks to address questions regarding the main root of mental disorders in Glasser’s view, the quality and extent of control behaviors, and criticisms of Glasser’s perspective from an Islamic approach.
Method: The study employs a narrative review method, analyzing Glasser’s concepts of internal and external control and examining Quranic and narrative concepts in this context.
Findings: Glasser advocates for eliminating controlling behaviors such as criticism, complaining, blaming, nagging, threatening, punishing, and blackmailing, and instead promoting negotiation, listening, friendship, respect, and intimacy for better relationships. However, Islamic teachings do not consider these alternative behaviors sufficient and allow for the use of some controlling behaviors in a specific and minimal manner.
Conclusion: Glasser’s analysis and explanation of mental health and satisfaction resulting from healthy interpersonal relationships without controlling behaviors contrast with Islamic teachings, which suggest that control behaviors can sometimes be necessary to maintain a relationship.

Intestinal intussusception in adults is a rare condition, accounting for up to 5% of all intestinal obstruction cases. It often involves the small intestine and can be caused by abnormal growths, either benign like lipomas or malignant. We present the case of a 60-year-old man with symptoms of small bowel obstruction. Imaging revealed an ileal obstruction, and he underwent surgery. A mass resembling a lipoma was found to be the cause of the intussusception. The mass was resected, and an anastomosis was performed. Pathology confirmed the lipoma. Although small intestinal lipomas are rare in adults, they should be considered when evaluating intestinal obstruction in adults. This case highlights the importance of considering uncommon diagnoses in adult intestinal obstruction cases.
