title = {Prevalence of Iron Deficiency Anemia Among Pregnant Women Referred to Fardis Health Centers in 2018},
abstract ={Background and objectives: Anemia is the most common disorder during pregnancy and approximately 75% of it is related to iron deficiency anemia. Decreased hemoglobin levels increase premature delivery and can lead to intrauterine growth restriction. This study was performed to determine the rate of iron deficiency anemia in pregnant women referring to health centers in Fardis. Methods: In this cross-sectional descriptive study conducted in 2018, the health records of 402 women who referred to health centers in Fardis and completed their pregnancies were examined. The data of this study were collected according to the criteria of the World Health Organization and using the information of the Sib system. Chi-square and t-test statistics were used to investigate the relationships between variables. Results: The prevalence of anemia in this study was 5% in the first trimester of pregnancy and 13/5% in the third trimester. No significant difference was found between age, pre-pregnancy weight, and body mass index in the group with and without anemia. There was a significant inverse relationship between the distance from the last delivery and the number of pregnancies with the hemoglobin level. It was also found people who were anemic in the first trimester of pregnancy, during pregnancy had a significantly greater weight gain. Conclusion: According to the results, the prevalence of anemia was especially unpleasant in the third trimester. Because this eating disorder is preventable, it is important to pay attention to expanding pre-pregnancy care and increasing mothers' awareness of proper nutrition and supplementation as needed. },

title = {The Effect of Lymphocyte Therapy on the Expression of MicroRNAs in Women with Recurrent Pregnancy Loss},
abstract ={Background: Recurrent Pregnancy Loss (RPL) is 2 or more recurrent miscarriages before the twentieth week, which occurs in 2-5% of women of gestational age. Considering the significant role of the immune system in the process of a successful pregnancy, it is expected that in addition to the common and well-known treatments used for patients with recurrent miscarriage to date, intracutaneous lymphocyte therapy will also be effective. Methods: 30 patients with RPL with immunological disorders, and 30 patients in a control group consisting of healthy women with a history of successful pregnancies were included in the study. After receiving blood samples and initial examinations, people with RPL received lymphocytic treatment. Before and after the intervention, the expression levels of miR-146a, miR-10a, miR-106b, and miR-25 were measured in both groups and the differences caused by the effects of this intervention were examined. Results: The expression of anti-inflammatory miR-146a and miR-10a, in women with RPL showed a significant increase after receiving lymphocyte treatment compared to before treatment. While the expression of pro-inflammatory miR-106b and miR-25 showed a significant decrease after receiving lymphocytes compared to before treatment. Conclusion: The aim of intradermal lymphocyte therapy is to increase the maternal immune system's tolerance to paternal antigens in the fetus and to modulate inflammatory responses in pregnant women with RPL. According to the results of this study, this method can be used to reduce inflammation in women with recurrent miscarriage. },

abstract ={Background: Men are more likely than women to have cancer and die from it. In addition, the likelihood of using healthcare services and preventive measures, such as screening for cancer, is much lower among men than women. This study aimed to determine the predictors of cancer screening behavior in middle-aged men employed in universities using the Health Belief Model. Materials and Methods: This is a descriptive-analytical study conducted on middle-aged men employed in Karaj University. The sampling was done through a census and all male employees (400 persons) who had the inclusion criteria were entered into the study. The data collection tool was a researcher-made questionnaire, the validity and reliability of which had been confirmed. Results: The results showed that 10.2% of the men had undergone one type of cancer screening, and the logistic regression indicated that perceived barriers and self-efficacy were predictors of screening behavior in men. Conclusions: Given the very low rate of screening behavior in Iranian men and the increasing prevalence of cancer, there is a need for educational interventions to make men aware of cancer. According to the results of this study, self-efficacy and perceived barriers were introduced as predictors of screening behavior, and taking them into account through interventions could lead to improve screening behavior in men. },

title = {Evaluation of Carbapenemase and Integron Resistance Genes in Pseudomonas Aeruginosa Isolated from Clinical Samples and Determination of Antibiotic Resistance Pattern by Laboratory Method},
abstract ={Introduction: Pseudomonas aeruginosa is one of the most important bacteria causing nosocomial infections, especially in immunocompromised patients. Many antibiotics such as aminoglycosides, quinolones, and beta-lactams are used to treat infections caused by this bacterium. But the emergence of hospital resistance and outbreaks of resistance strains have been widely reported. The aim of this study was to evaluate the frequency of class I, II and III integrons and carbapenemase genes in clinical isolates of Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Methods: In this descriptive cross-sectional study, 100 clinical isolates of Pseudomonas aeruginosa were collected from Tehran health centers. All isolates were confirmed by phenotypic and biochemical tests. Antibiotic susceptibility testing was performed by gel diffusion method, based on CLSI procedure, and on commercial Müller Hinton agar medium with commercial antibiotics. Results: The results of antibiotic susceptibility test showed that the highest antibiotic resistance was obtained against amikacin (100%) and imipenem (85%) and the least antibiotic resistance to gentamycin (66%). The highest frequency distribution was related to intI gene with 92% and the lowest frequency of intII gene with 5%. KPC gene was detected in 87% and IMP gene in 51% of samples. Conclusion: Due to the high prevalence of integron in Pseudomonas aeruginosa resistant isolates and its association with different patterns of drug resistance, appropriate strategies for infection control and treatment in the studied hospitals are necessary to prevent further spread of these isolates. The PCR method in this study, with the results of other researchers in different parts of the world, may be due to the source of the sample. Rapid detection of Pseudomonas aeruginosa in clinical specimens is important for initiating treatment. The use of molecular methods to detect antibiotic resistance of Pseudomonas aeruginosa in clinical samples of patients is very important. },

Immunoglobulin G by Computational Immunology},
abstract ={Background: Immunoglobulins (Igs) are protective glycoproteins specifically identify and eradicate microbes. Fragment of antigen binding (Fab) is a portion of antibody which binds to antigen and consists of one variable and one constant domain of one heavy and one light chain. Idiotypes, epitopes situated on Igs variable region, could be exploited to monitor and target malignant B cells and are usually located near the surface clefts of the Igs. In present study the superficial clefts in human IgG Fab region have been determined by computational data analysis. Methods: Amino acid sequences and third structure of reference human IgG were found in Protein Data Bank (PDB). Surface clefts in IgG-Fab have been defined by Profunc software in http://www.ebi.ac.uk/thornton-srv/databases/profunc data bank and Isocleft finder software on reference human IgG sequence. Results: Ten clefts on human IgG were recognized by Cleft analysis software. Two of the biggest clefts were located to variable region and third one was sited in constant region of the Fab. Also three clefts on human IgG were identified by Isocleft finder software in Fab region. First two clefts were in variable and constant domains and third one was in constant domains of the Fab. Conclusion: The surface clefts of human IgG identified in the present study could be useful in determination of IgG epitopes, specific idiotypes and generating specific anti- idiotypic monoclonal antibodies to monitor/ target clonally expanded malignant B cells, as well as designing and producing the similar proteins structures for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. },

title = {Evaluation of Toxin and Antitoxin System in Acinetobacter Multidrug Resistance Bacteria Isolated From Clinical Specimens},
abstract ={Introduction: Acinetobacter baumannii is one of the most important nosocomial and community-acquired pathogens that is resistant to many antibiotics. Toxin-antitoxin systems are regulatory systems that maintain bacteria and serve as new targets for Antimicrobial therapies are considered. The prevalence and transcription of these systems in clinical isolates is still unknown. The aim of this study was to evaluate the toxin-antitoxin system (mazEF, relBE and higBA) in Acinetobacter baumannii with multidrug resistance isolated from clinical specimens. Methods: In this study, 60 isolates of Acinetobacter species were collected from 255 clinical specimens. Acinetobacter baumannii was identified by biochemical tests of oxidase, citrate, SIM and TSI. Antimicrobial susceptibility testing was performed by discard method and PCR method to identify genes in the toxin-antitoxin system (mazEF, relBE and higBA). Results: The highest resistance to ampicillin (98.3%) and the lowest resistance to colistin (35%). Resistance of more than 90% was observed in 12 antibiotics out of 15 antibiotics studied. Out of 60 isolates, 98.34% were resistant to more than 8 antibiotics and only one sample was sensitive to all. The mazEF, higBA, and relBE versions were present in approximately half of the Acinetobacter baumannii isolates studied. In all samples, more than 80% of the isolates containing each of the mazEF, higBA, and relBE genes were resistant to the antibiotics tested (with the exception of colistin, which was approximately 40%). The frequencies of mazEF, higBA and relBE genes were 24 (40%), 32 (53.33%), 35 (53.33%), respectively. 6 isolates (10%) were negative for all three genes. Conclusion: Significant antibiotic resistance was observed among the isolates. Based on the presence of TA systems in half of A. baumannii isolates, these could be used as a novel target for antimicrobial therapy. },

Cerebral Venous Thrombosis with incidence of 11.6 per 100,000 deliveries per year, as a rare cerebrovascular disease, can occur as a result of pregnancy-related changes in coagulation state and vascular endothelial damage and be the cause of the life-threatening risks of the preeclamptic mother. Case Presentation: The patient is a 22-year-old, gravida 1 (33 weeks) woman, with no history of underlying disease, who following the initial seizure and without consciousness, was transferred by the 115th Emergency Department to the triage unit of Valiasr Hospital in Kazerun. Due to repeated recurrent seizures during the 20-minute transmission and the results of test based on HELLP Syndrome, she immediately undergoing a cesarean section. Subsequently, the results of the CAT-SCAN request confirmed the occurrence of cerebral venous thrombosis in the mother. The infant was discharged because of the absence of respiratory disorder and regularity of heart rate. Six-week postpartum follow-up showed maternal recovery. },

title = {Drug-induced interstitial nephritis in a 9-year-old child: A case report},
abstract ={Drug-induced acute interstitial nephritis (DI-AIN) is a common cause of AKI and leading to CKD and ESRD Although any drug can potentially cause DI-AIN, antibiotics, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and proton pump inhibitors are the most common culprits. In the present study, we report a 9-year-old child with drug-induced interstitial nephritis (cefotaxime, vancomycin, and acyclovir). it seems that according to the patient's symptoms, the drug generating DI-AIN cannot be identified. Therefore, physicians should be careful about the occurrence of DI-AIN in children with cefotaxime, vancomycin, and acyclovir. },

abstract ={HSV-induced encephalitis is one of the most common viral encephalitis in children with known signs and symptoms, including personality changes, fever, impaired consciousness and focal neurological deficits. Imaging findings also include temporal lobe and fronto-orbital involvement. In the present study, we present a 7-year-old girl diagnosed with HSV1-induced herpes encephalitis with unusual symptoms including absence of focal neurologic deficits and persistent muscle weakness with imaging findings suggestive of ischemic multifocal areas that Treated with acyclovir and the patient’s symptoms improved.},
